Kaspersky has announced the expansion of its Kids Cyber Resilience Project in Vietnam within the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and is extending it to the Middle East and CIS countries. The initiative aims to equip children and adolescents with essential cybersecurity skills to navigate the connected world safely.

The Kaspersky Kids Cyber Resilience Project educates children, parents, educators, and NGOs on online threats and digital hygiene. Through workshops, courses, and interactive activities, the program encourages responsible digital behavior and strengthens online security practices. Since its launch in Singapore in March 2023, the project has expanded to countries such as the Philippines, Malaysia, and India.

To support cybersecurity education for teachers, Kaspersky is partnering with Vietnam’s Vietnet-ICT and the Thai Nguyen Department of Education. A similar program will soon launch in Cairo, Egypt, in collaboration with the ITI Knowledge City Branch, focusing on online safety and privacy. By the end of the year, Kaspersky also plans to launch a cyber resilience project in Russia, targeting schools and the public.

With support from Kaspersky Academy, the project covers areas such as phishing, social media security, safe gaming, and preventing cyberbullying. It also includes AI-based training for K-12 teachers and parents on using AI responsibly in education.

Evgeniya Rusakova, Head of Cybersecurity Education at Kaspersky, emphasized, “Creating a safe cyber environment for children and youth is a complex task that requires the involvement of many stakeholders, including teachers, parents, and NGO representatives. The goal of Kaspersky Kids Cyber Resilience is to unite these stakeholders to teach the next generation how to stay safe in the digital world.”
